The Navico Navstation C900NS is more than just a Chart plotter. Although it will perform excellently as a stand alone plotter (linked to a GPS/Decca/LORAN etc via its inbuilt NMEA01 B3 interface) when conected to a full Corus™ Instrument System, CPS and Autopilot, it becomes a sophisticated navigation station, forming a major part of the Corus Navigation System. In addition to carrying out all conventional chart plotting tasks, the Corus Navstation can provide a host of navigational and performance data which it shares with the Corus Instruments, CPS and Autopilot and due to the revolutionary "open system" design of all Corus equipment. when new facilities become available in the future, your Navstation will be able to offer these features as well.
The C900NS has been designed so that, while It represents the state of the art in chart plotters with many advanced features, it remains very simple to operate, using Navico's revolutionary "softkey" system. As you progress through any operating sequence, the softkey labels change, guiding you logically and intuitively through whatever procedure you are performing, step by step.
Any chart plotter, no matter how advanced, is only as good as the charts that are used with it. Therefore, the C900NS Navstation uses Navionics® Seamless Microcharts™', which are widely acknowiedged as the best in their dass.
